TDS Rates for Individuals and HUFs (other than salary payments)

Rent | Rs. 2,40,000 per year | 10%
Professional Fees | Rs. 30,000 per payment | 10%
Commission | Rs. 15,000 per payment | 5%
Contractor/Sub-contractor | Rs. 30,000 per payment | 1%
Insurance Commission | Rs. 15,000 per payment | 5%
Others | As per specific nature of payment | Varies
TDS Rates for Salary Payments
The TDS rates for salary payments are based on the individual’s income slab and are as per the applicable income tax slab rates. The employer calculates and deducts TDS Compliances on salary accordingly.
TDS Due Dates
The due dates for depositing TDS to the government treasury and filing TDS returns are as follows:
TDS Payment Due DatesFor Government Deductors: On the same day of deduction
For Other Deductors
March: 30th April
Other Months: 7th of the following month
TDS Return Filing Due Dates:
Quarter 1: 31st July
Qur 2: 31st October
Qur 3: 31st January
Quarter 4: 31st May
