Whether or not a Registered Nurse (RN) needs to file an income tax return (ITR) depends on their income and deductions.

In India, all individuals with a taxable income of Rs. 2,50,000 or more are required to file an ITR. There are also some exceptions to this rule.

For example, RNs who are below the age of 60 and whose total income is less than Rs. 5,00,000 are not required to file an ITR if they do not have any other sources of income, such as interest or dividend income.

RNs who are self-employed or who have other sources of income, such as rental income, are also required to file an ITR, regardless of their income level.

In addition to the income threshold, RNs may also be required to file an ITR if they have any of the following:

1. Deductions that exceed the standard deduction.
2. Taxable income that is less than the standard deduction, but they have claimed itemized deductions.
3. Tax credits that they want to claim.
4. Foreign income.
5. Real estate transactions.

If you are an RN and you are unsure whether or not you need to file an ITR, you should consult with a tax advisor.
