The electronic cash ledger reflects the amount of cash deposited by the taxpayer and can be use to make GST payments, while the electronic credit ledger reflects the amount of GST input tax credit available to the taxpayer.

The ledger balance shows the net balance available in the electronic cash or credit ledger after adjusting for the liabilities and credits for the relevant tax periods. The taxpayer can use this balance to pay their GST liabilities or claim input tax credit.
