How do I find out my UAN number from my PAN

The UAN  (Universal Account Number) is a unique identification number assigned by the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) of India exclusively to each account holder.
If your UAN is not linked to your PAN in any way. Therefore, you cannot find out your UAN number from your PAN.

However, if you have contributed to the EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) scheme in the past, you may have been allotted a UAN. You can find out your UAN in the following ways:
1. Check your payslip: Your UAN may be mentioned on your payslip if your employer has provided it.


2. Check your EPF passbook: Your UAN number may be mentioned on your EPF passbook. You can download your passbook from the EPFO member portal.


3. Contact EPFO: You can contact the EPFO helpline or visit the EPFO office to find out your UAN. You will need to provide your personal details, such as your name, date of birth, and mobile number, to verify your identity.


4. Use the “Know Your UAN” facility: You can also use the “Know Your UAN” facility on the EPFO member portal. You will need to provide your mobile number and member ID to receive an OTP (One Time Password) and retrieve your UAN.


Overall, your UAN and PAN are two separate numbers, and you cannot find out your UAN from your PAN. You can use the above methods to find out your UAN if you have contributed to the EPF scheme in the past.
