E-filing ITR: The process for e-filing ITR for a technical consultant is as follows:

1. Go to the Income Tax e-filing portal (www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in).
2. Create an account or log in if you already have an account.
3. Select the assessment year for which you want to file your ITR.
4. Choose the ITR form that is applicable to you. For a technical consultant, the ITR form is ITR-3 or ITR-4.
5. Download the ITR form and fill it up carefully.
6. Attach all the relevant documents, such as your PAN card, Aadhaar card, and income proofs.
7. Verify your ITR either by e-Sign or by Aadhaar OTP.
8. Pay the taxes due, if any.
9. Submit your ITR.

You can create an account on the Income Tax e-filing portal by providing your PAN card number, Aadhaar number, and other details. If you already have an account, you can log in using your username and password.

2. Select the assessment year.

The assessment year is the financial year for which you are filing your ITR. For example, if you are filing your ITR for the financial year 2022-23, the assessment year will be 2023-24.

3. Choose the ITR form.

The ITR form that you need to choose will depend on your income and sources of income. For a technical consultant, the ITR form is ITR-3 or ITR-4.

4. Download the ITR form.

Once you have chosen the ITR form, you can download it from the Income Tax e-filing portal.

5. Fill up the ITR form.

The ITR form is a detailed form that asks you to provide information about your income, deductions, and tax liability. You need to fill up the form carefully and provide all the relevant information.

6. Attach the relevant documents.

You need to attach all the relevant documents to your ITR form, such as your PAN card, Aadhaar card, and income proofs.

The last date for E-filing ITR for the assessment year 2023-24 is July 31, 2023. However, if you are a technical consultant who is subject to tax audit under section 44AB, then the last date for filing your ITR is October 31, 2023.
